Woodland is for young riders

Introducing kids, along with their parents who participate in the class, to the world of horses grows spirit and confidence. And is super-fun too!

Our Pony Pals Lesson are taught with three important ingredients:

  • Be safe

  • Have fun

  • Learn something new!

Woodland Horse Center loves introducing kids to the joy and excitement of horseback riding.

Our talented & knowledgeable instructors teach with kindness and patience as young riders learn to walk, halt and trot and improve on the basics of riding. As they grow, the kids will be introduced to more challenging skills so they are ready to join the Children’s Lesson Program when they are 8 years old. Parents are an important part of the lesson as they help keep the horses and ponies going as the rider works on the particular skill.

Our young riders also make lifelong friends that grow and learn together in a supportive environment.

Pony Pals Lessons are for riders age 5-7. No experience necessary as we love to teach new riders!
